ANSER Funding and Fundraising

As a charter school in Idaho, ANSER receives state and federal funding but is not eligible to receive local property tax funding. Property tax revenues in the forms of bonds and levies typically pay for facility costs for other public schools. To put this into perspective, ANSER has similar staffing, facility and program needs as regular public schools, with less income. We must rely on the generosity of our parents, staff, board, alumni community members and on partnerships with other agencies to meet our fiscal facility needs. At ANSER it costs roughly $5400 per student, while we receive on average $4900 per student. We fundraise to make up that deficit. This fundraising is done by our parent community who contribute $70,000 to $100,000 through an annual giving campaign and auction.

Fundraising

Capital Campaign
ANSER's Capital Campaign "Our Students Change the World" raised the funds needed for the down payment and tenant improvements of our new facility. Our goal is 100% participation of the ANSER community. We will be asking everyone for their support. If you have any questions about the campaign or would like to be a donor, please contact Development Director, Lisa VanDercar at 426-9840 ex 27 or lvandercar@ansercharterschool.org.

Annual/Fall Campaign
Our Fall Campaign kicks off every September and runs through the end of December. This campaign raises between $25,000 and $55,000 every year. We ask ANSER families, staff, alumni and friends to make a tax-deductible contribution to our general fund. This money goes to help meet the shortfall between our federal and state funding and what it costs to education a student at ANSER. Families can contribute a variety of ways; through a one-time contribution, pledge, stock donation and more.
